StayEase - A Full-Fledged Hotel PMS

Overview

A hospitality client approached Glorywebs to modernize hotel operations across boutique and multi-property chains. The goal was to develop StayEase—an advanced Property Management System (PMS) integrated with inventory management, POS, and a dedicated Housekeeper mobile app.

StayEase was built using React (frontend) and Python (backend) to streamline booking, resource allocation, billing, staff management, payments, and property-wide coordination—all from one unified dashboard. The client aimed to minimize manual tasks, enhance guest experience, and boost operational efficiency.

Challenges & Solutions

Challenge 1: Real-Time Room Management & OTA Integration

Avoid double bookings and sync room availability across multiple platforms like Booking.com & Expedia.

Solution: We used WebSockets and React state management for live updates and implemented FastAPI to integrate major OTAs, keeping room status synced in real-time.

Challenge 2: Complex Billing, POS, & Payment Integration

Handle split bills, dynamic pricing, POS transactions, and in-person + online payments.

Solution: Built a modular billing engine in Python and Django with Stripe integration for digital payments, card reader support, and POS-driven order tracking synced with inventory.

Challenge 3: Mobile Housekeeping App & Role-Based Access

Housekeeping staff needed real-time task updates, and property teams required customized access.

Solution: Developed a mobile PWA app for housekeeping, synchronized with the PMS. Implemented RBAC using Django, allowing property-specific access controls and staff views.

Challenge 4: User-Friendly Interface & Night Audit Automation

The system needed to be intuitive for non-tech users and support daily financial closing.

Solution: Designed a drag-and-drop UI for task assignment, room scheduling, and calendar events. Added night audit automation to process daily transactions, generate shift reports, and ensure financial accuracy.
